How do I choose the right paint finish for my project?

Most paint manufacturers offer several paint sheens that each have their own purposes. We will discuss the areas that you would like to paint and explain the differences in paint finishes so that you can make an informed decision. Factors you might consider are durability as well as appearance.

Do you help with color selection?

We have paint fans showing a wide range of colors that can help you decide which colors will work best for you. Color is a very personal decision and we encourage you to imagine colors that will evoke positive feelings for you and your family. We can show you complementary colors if you are considering two-tone areas or moldings.

How do you protect my home or business during the painting process?

Connecticut Paint & Prime understands the pride you take in your home and belongings. Hiring us to paint for you is an indication that you care about your space and making it look great - and we do not want to do the opposite! We carefully tape around edges to create clean, crisp lines. We bring ample clean plastic to cover any furniture that cannot be moved out of the way, as well as the floor. Should there be any spills, we use professional supplies to safely remove mistakes. There will be no signs of our work after we finish, other than the beautiful transformation of your walls and ceilings!

What is your typical project timeline?

While every project is unique, the length of a project is of course determined by the amount of prep work, priming, painting, and the type of areas to be painted. Windows and glass doors with muntins or grills need special care and attention, and therefore add time to the project. Connecticut Paint & Prime will do a site survey before giving you a quote, and at that time we can give you an estimate of the time your project will take.

Are your painters licensed and insured?

Yes we are! We carry professional business and liability insurance and are licensed with the State of Connecticut #
